What a provocative brochure! Even more when you read the first sentence: Are you going to heaven or to hell?

A friend of mine got this brochure a couple days ago, he brought it to office and give it to me. When I first saw this brochure, I could not understand that some people even in this country still do that kind of things, try to persuade others to join their religious community with that approach.
I forgot this brochure until today I click CNN website and found this interview - the inhuman illogical explanation from Abu Dujana, one of the recently captured Jamaah Islamiyah activist in Indonesia. With his continuing smile during the interview, he coldly explain why westerners became legitimate targets merely because they are affiliated to some countries that from his point of view are the enemies of Moslem. He didn't have a single bit of sympathy for the victims of terorism in 911 attacks, yet he is willing to sacrifise his own family for the sake of building the Moslem Syariah Rules.
Sudden emotion of angers, hatred, and shame fills when we discussed this video. Being Indonesian, in United States, you can imagine how shameful it is. As if our country is school of terrorists.
I believe that religion is one of the oldest heritage from our ancestors. It is created accordingly to that point of time as a tool for mankind to quest their life. Religions are blended with its surrounding cultures, create certain rules, again, that is rellevant to that time. As the world getting older and so does the humankind, and like the Darwin's "survival of the fittest". Maybe it's a little crazy, but I believe that only religions that able to adapt survive. History has proved that some believes are wrong. It's always safe to show facts from our own faults :), so I here is an example from Catholic Church : they were wrong when they excommunicated Gallileo Gallilei who said that Earth was not center of universe.
Or maybe, on an extereme point, religion has been one of the biggest failures of mankind? Religion, that I believe supposedly being a tool to create better society has changed its direction. People use it as a shortcut to go to heaven, cursing to others who affiliated to other religion as the ones who will go to hell. In daily life, it's been a new trend to show obvious religious symbols. Not that all of them are wrong, but what's the point of religion if it could not be used for humanity?
Oh well, it's just a thinking that come out from my tiny brain. Back to work!

but no single religion (or people who claim themselves religious) should allow people to harm others, not even in a little tiny bit of way.
